2. Metal-catalyzed C–H functionalization processes

  • The synthesis of complex organic compounds is generally based on the control of the reactivity of the different functional groups present in the substrate structure. However, considering the astonishing advances in organometallic chemistry, this logic has been greatly extended in recent years to the direct functionalization of C–H bonds that were previously considered non-reactive.
